Optimum Constant-stress Partially Accelerated Life Tests for the Truncated Logistic Distribution under Time Constraint

چکیده
This paper presents an optimum design of constant-stress partially accelerated life test (PALT) plan in which each item runs either at use or accelerated condition and product life follows Truncated Logistic distribution truncated at point zero under type-I censoring. Truncated distributions arise when sample selection is not possible in some sub-region of sample space. The optimal sample proportion allocated to both normal use condition and accelerated condition for the constant PALT is determined by minimizing the generalized asymptotic variance of MLEs of the acceleration factor and model parameters (Doptimality criterion). The method developed has been illustrated using an example. Sensitivity analysis and comparative study has also been carried out.

OPTIMUM GENERALIZED COMPOUND LINEAR PLAN FOR MULTIPLE-STEP STEP-STRESS ACCELERATED LIFE TESTS
In this paper, we consider an i.e., multiple step-stress accelerated life testing (ALT) experiment with unequal duration of time . It is assumed that the time to failure of a product follows Rayleigh distribution with a log-linear relationship between stress and lifetime and also we assume a generalized Khamis-Higgins model for the effect of changing stress levels. Taking into account that the...
متن کاملDesign and Analysis of Step Stress Accelerated Life Tests for Censored Data}
Life testing often is consuming a very long time for testing. Therefore, the engineers and statisticians are looking for some approaches to reduce the running time. There is a recommended method for reducing the time of failure, such that the stress level of the test units will increase, and then they will fail earlier than normal operating conditions. These approaches are called accelerated li...
متن کاملOptimum Constant-stress and Step-stress Accelerated Life Tests under Time and Cost Constraints
By running life tests at higher stress levels than normal operating conditions, accelerated life testing quickly yields information on the lifetime distribution of a test unit. The lifetime at the design stress is then estimated through extrapolation using a regression model. To conduct an accelerated life test efficiently with constrained resources in practice, several decision variables such ...
متن کاملOptimal Planning of Failure-Step Stress Partially Accelerated Life Tests under Type II Censoring
Abstract This paper considers optimum plans for failure-step stress partially accelerated life tests with two stress levels under type-II censoring assuming Weibull distribution as a lifetime model. The optimum test plans determine the optimum proportion of test units failing at each stress according to a certain optimality criterion. The D-optimality criterion is considered. Some numerical ill...

In many of the studies concerning Accelerated life testing (ALT), the log linear function between life and stress which is just a simple re-parameterization of the original parameter of the life distribution is used to obtain the estimates of original parameters but from the statistical point of view, it is preferable to work with the original parameters instead of developing inferences for the...
